What did you do before you joined Hero?
Brand Management at Unilever (3 years), Senior Brand Management at Unilever (2 years), Channel Development Out of Home at Leaf Holland (2 years), Trade Marketing Management at Leaf Holland (2 years).
How would you describe your current role?
I am responsible for the out of home business for Hero Netherlands. It is a combination of marketing, trade marketing and sales of chilled fruits, ambient juices, softdrinks, cereal bars and jam in out of home channels such as hotels, petrol stations, catering locations, bars & restaurants.
What accomplishments are you particularly proud of?
The implementation of a promotion evaluation and also a business planning process in the Dutch organisation, the set-up of distribution partnerships and agreements for jam in hotels and institutions (i.e. hospitals, nursing homes), and the sales growth of Fruit & Co in the out of home business due to a distribution increase.
What advice would you give job candidates?
Check your “fit” with the “Hero Way”. The speed, flexibility, responsibility and accountability are very typical for the Hero organisation. Either you’ll like it or hate it!
