What did you do before you joined Hero?
I worked in various sales roles at Unilever: Area Sales Manager (1997-2003), Sales Supervisor (1993-1996), Sales Representative (1992).
What attracted you to Hero?
I liked the challenge to work in a regional position and the many opportunities for advancement within the organization.
How would you describe your current role?
My day-to-day activities are: setting sales objectives, budgeting, forecasting and sales organization including team development.
How did your career progress at Hero?
I started as a Regional Sales Manager in 2003, was promoted to National Sales Manager a year later and since 2008 I am Sales Director.
What do you appreciate most about Hero?
High speed, flat organization and entrepreneurial people.
What accomplishments are you particularly proud of?
We broke records in net sales growth and profit, established and developed a distribution network system that covers 28,000 outlets directly and are successful at blocking competition and sustaining market share.
What advice would you give job candidates?
Think entrepreneurial and be committed to what you do!
