- Bill Parker joins Executive Board as company’s first CPO
- Appointment puts people at heart of Hero’s decision-making body
Lenzburg, September 25, 2020 – The Hero Group, which is on a mission to delight consumers by conserving the goodness of nature, has created the new role of Chief People Officer (CPO) in its Executive Board, putting people at the heart of its decision-making body.
Bill Parker, who until today occupied the role of VP HR & Corporate Communications, will take on this important role.
“We have always said it is our people that make us what we are. Today, we are putting our words into action by elevating this important function to the Executive Board,” said Rob Versloot, CEO Hero Group.
“Bill (Parker) has been at the helm of the department for the past four years, and this promotion recognizes the strong contribution he has made. Guided by a clear vision, he has actively partnered the business in the development of a wide array of high-impact HR and corporate communications initiatives. The appointment to the Executive Board is a clear endorsement for the work he and the HR & Corporate Communications community have done, and is a terrific platform from which to continue to build,” Versloot said.
Parker is a seasoned HR executive and has held a number of international roles over the past 25 years with companies such as Unilever, Mars-Wrigley, and Bata.
