Hero Group takes over Italian JV

Lenzburg, May 28, 2025 – The Hero Group, which owns a 50% stake in the joint venture company MadreNatura, has bought out the remaining 50% stake from partners Angelini Holding Spa.

The joint venture company, founded by the two organizations in 2019, benefitted from the synergies and expertise brought by Hero and Angelini. MadreNatura successfully saw the entry into the Italian baby food market with the Hero Solo product line.

Through the full ownership of MadreNatura, Hero seeks to consolidate its presence in the Italian baby food market.

We would like to thank Angelini for the partnership over these years, without whom we could not have entered this important market for Hero,” said Christian Schierbaum, CEO Hero Group.

Hero has been present in the Italian market with jams, healthy snacks, and beverages since the 1970.
